How To Draw Chibi Guy From The Side

Anime Head Side View Guideline Construction Process

Let's go straight into it! Please note that this is simply how I create guidelines for my drawings. Dissimilar artists will take different means in which they construct their guidelines, some can just Freehand everything!

Start, as usual, draw a circle. Next, describe a vertical line down the left or correct side of the circumvolve, this is where the caput will be facing. Now, decide where yous want the bottom of the chin to exist for your caput. If you're cartoon a more mature head, the chin volition be longer; if you lot're cartoon a younger person, the chin should be shorter. in this example, I'm drawing a young female, so the chin is pretty short.

Adjacent, draw a horizontal line in the heart of the head (between the pinnacle of the head and the bottom of the chin. This line is where the height of the center will exist

Draw another horizontal line between the peak of the eyes and bottom of the mentum, this guideline is for the bottom of the nose.

Draw a horizontal line slightly into the face from the vertical line, this line should cutting across the bottom line for the chin and the eyes. Add a slight inward curve around where the center is. The intersection betwixt the guideline for the bottom of the chin and the vertical line will be where the tip of the chin touches.

Where the top of the eyes is, draw a slight dip inward the head.

From the lesser of the chin, draw a line angled outwards roughly as shown in the image below. Apply the guideline to add together in the nose. Connect the bottom of the dip to the tip of the olfactory organ. The tip of the nose is touching the guideline. The bottom of the olfactory organ is touching the guideline for the bottom of the nose. The olfactory organ shape and the angle for the guideline can vary depending on historic period, gender, your preference etc.

Add another horizontal line betwixt the bottom of the olfactory organ and chin, this is the guideline for where to place the oral fissure. The mouth should be slightly to a higher place this guideline. When calculation in the mouth shape, make sure that only the tip of the top and lesser lips touch the angled guideline.

From the lesser of the oral cavity to the chin, in that location's a slight inward curve.

At present you lot have a basic shape for the head! Time to start refining and calculation in details.
